This HD projector also features a dual lamp system that works by increasing the light output. With this feature, people can use this device in different lighting conditions, from the brightest to the dimmest room. This technology has also been integrated with 6500 lumens (this is a unit of light based on its power), allowing this projector to display light that is highly sensitive to the human eyes.

According to Sanyo vice president Mark Holt, the PDG-DHT100L has been specifically designed to support impressive graphics even in brightly lit rooms, adding that this is also ideal in large areas including halls, auditoriums, and theaters.

Another notable feature is the optical engine designed with dust-resistant seal. This special design is further complemented with Active Maintenance Filter (AMF) which prevents dust from entering the lamp while monitoring airflow. With these combined technologies, the projector’s durability will be longer compared to other models in the market.

Most projectors have shorter lamp light because the design does not allow the system to have intervals. With this common problem, Sanyo has used a special design for the PDG-DHT100L which uses two-lamp system. This is how the design works: the main lamp will automatically shut down after a certain period of time (or when it has detected that it has been used for a long period of time) and the back-up lamp will light up. With this interval function, the lamp system can have longer lifespan compared to projectors which only use one source of light.

To support HD images, this projector has been designed to be compatible with Sanyo’s Uncompressed HD Data Wireless Transfer System, allowing the device to project pictures with 1080i or 720p. When tested, the HD wireless transfer remained its impressive quality up to a distance of 30 meters.
